Click Browse folders, and navigate to the folder that contains the Revitmodels you want to transmit. Go to control panel > Programs and Features and find your version of Collaboration for Revit i.e. If we want to upgrade lots of these "local-type" linked files, how can we get around this batch upgrade limitation? We will need to to use eTransmit - twice. Choose the model(s) to transmit: Click Browse Model, and navigate to the location of the Revitmodel you want to transmit. The core problem here is that someone has probably given you a Local copy, when they should have given you a Central or Detached copy to link into your project. the network is down or the file server is down. eTransmit saves the selected Revit project file along with its links to the destination folder of the eTransmit or. and you may get this error:įilename.rvt could not be upgraded: The file-based central model could not be reached, because e.g. Advanced integration lets you use eTransmit for Revit to save a copy of a Revit project file (RVT) in the project to an eTransmit location or to a backup location, either of which can be a ProjectWise folder or a local folder. With the eTransmit for Autodesk Revit add-in, you can copy a Revit model and dependent files to a single folder for Internet transmission. Why does this happen? Because the Bulk File Upgrader doesn't work if it is trying to upgrade a Local and it can't find a Central (I believe this is a Revit API thing). ![]()
